Totem pages are public and carry your name. These rules exist so a totem link is always safe to click. They apply to everything on your page — your handle, name, bio, images, and every link you point to.
Not allowed on Totem
Anything that sexualizes minors. Zero tolerance — immediate termination and a report to the authorities.
Illegal content or activity, including linking to it: selling drugs or weapons, stolen data, fraud, and the rest you already know.
Malware, phishing, and scams — links that install something, steal credentials, fake giveaways, or impersonate login pages.
Impersonation. Don't claim a handle or build a page pretending to be a person, brand, or organization you're not. Parody is fine only when nobody could mistake it for the real thing.
Harassment and hate. No pages that exist to attack, threaten, or dehumanize a person or group.
Doxxing — publishing someone's private information (address, phone, IDs) without their consent.
Sexually explicit or extremely violent content on the page itself. Linking out to legal adult content is allowed only if the link is clearly labeled so nobody clicks it blind.
Spam and platform abuse — mass-registering handles, squatting handles for resale, link farms, or using Totem purely to game search engines.
Handles
Handles that infringe trademarks, impersonate someone, or are grabbed in bulk to squat or resell can be reclaimed — see the Terms of Service. If your name or brand is being impersonated on a totem page, email us with proof and we'll sort it out.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious a violation is, we may remove the specific content, lock the page, suspend the account, or terminate it. For the worst categories above we terminate immediately; for the rest we'll usually warn you first and say what needs to change. If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice or email us — a human reads it.

Seen a page that breaks these rules? Send the page address and what's wrong to support@trytotem.app. Copyright complaints: include what's infringed, proof it's yours, and where it appears, and we'll take it down if the claim checks out.
