Totem lets you claim a handle and build a public bio page for your links. These terms are the agreement between you and Buildable Labs, the studio that runs Totem. We've written them to be read, not skimmed past — they're short.
Totem is operated by Buildable Labs ("we", "us"), reachable at support@trytotem.app. The service lives at trytotem.app.
Handles are first come, first served, but claiming one doesn't make it property. We may reclaim or reassign a handle when it impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, violates the Terms of Use, or belongs to an account that was deleted or terminated. If we ever need to reclaim a handle from an account in good standing, we'll contact you first and help you pick a replacement.
Everything you put on your page — your name, bio, links, and images you upload — stays yours. By publishing it on Totem you give us the permission we need to store it, display it publicly at your page's address, and cache it so it loads fast. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Your bio page is public by design. Anyone with the address can see it, and search engines can index it. Don't put anything on it you wouldn't want public.
You promise that you have the right to publish what you publish, and that it follows the Terms of Use (our content rules). We don't pre-review pages, but we can remove content or pages that break those rules.
The Totem name, logo, design, and code are ours (or our licensors'). Using Totem doesn't give you a license to them beyond what's needed to use the service. Don't pass Totem off as your own product or scrape the service wholesale.
Totem is free to use today. We plan to offer paid upgrades (things like premium handles, effects, and badges). If we do, their price and terms will be shown clearly before you buy anything, and we'll update these terms — nothing you already have will be silently taken away.
Totem is provided as is. We work hard to keep it fast and online, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, bug-free, or that content will never be lost — keep copies of anything irreplaceable. To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from your use of Totem, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months (which today is zero).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, and nothing reduces the consumer rights you have where you live.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you on the site or by email before they take effect. Using Totem after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without taking away protections you're entitled to in your own country. Questions, complaints, or anything unclear: support@trytotem.app.
